Apart from Smuggler’s, a pub that we recommend if you want to drink a fresh beer and listen to music in a friendly international environment, in Vilanculos there is a perfect place to have fun, have dinner in an informal and sociable ambience, to dance, to meet people, to make a game of billiards and party until dawn: AFROBAR.

Afrobar is loved by both locals but also tourists coming from all over the world, and now it is becoming a real institution in Vilanculos. I recommend if you are spending some days here not missing an evening at Afrobar.

A tip: If you want to dine well in a young and informal place with ethnic music from around the world, and not expensive at all you should go to Muha’s Backpackers. In reality it is a youth hostel with rooms, but the owner Muhamad, a funny and bizarre character if advised before can prepare a dinner buffet with real delicacies, many of them with fish.
It could be beautiful and funny to go alone or in company, you never know who you meet by Muha’s maybe why not before visiting all’Afrobar.
